Asus sk8v drivers for macbook pro

Best wishes, The NI Team. I just downloaded the Demo version of guitar rig and i gotta say that this is a really good software. When i plug my guitar straight to my soundcard, the signal from my guitar is there and i can hear the output sound and i can add distortion, modulation and stuff BUT my problem is that when i plucked the string the sound from guitar rig comes out after some miliseconds NOT just right away. So its like after i hit the string the sound got delayed and there arent any sound but then the sound start to comes up after a couple millisecond Is this because my version is the demo one and I dont have the footswitch? Hi, This is the common latency problem.

If you have only integrated audio on your motherboard (like Realtek AC 97) or a soundcard without asio driver,asio4all is good for you. If you have a SB Live, you can use KX driver, but asio4all let you use also your old driver instead of replacing it.

With asio4all, be aware that you can't use another audo software or the Microsoft GS Synth while your asio app is in use. By loading all your plugins in an host and using a soft synth plugin, these inconveniences can be avoided. By using a soft synth plugin, you also will be able to apply audio effets to your midi and include it in mixdowns, exactly like audio. Clevermind can you help? I read your reply regarding the latency issue and resulting millisecond delay. I just installed guitarrig today and am a complete first time user. I have a fast PC and am using a tascam ub224 audio interface.

I've got the same latency issue as the other guy mentioned. I didn't really understand the tech in your reply. Do you have any suggestions for me (that i might understand?) regarding my set up and how to fix the latency issue? I would surely appreciate it.

Jack in indiana. Hi, What is the exact model of your audio interface? How much latency do you get? If a speficic asio driver is furnished with it, use it in first place. 1) File/audio+midi settings/soundcard, then: interface: asio sample rate: the one your card is set to output device: your asio driver should be listed here 2) File/audio+midi settings/Routing: asio inputs and outputs are listed here if latency is too high (more than 20 ms),use asio config button and try different settings (smaller buffers), until you get clicks when playing.

Asio4all works on top of wdm driver (it does'nt replace any driver); once installed, you should be able to select and tweak it as above. If asio4all works fine, inputs and outputs are green in its control panel. (you have possibly to enable them before). Always open asio4all control panel within your audio app to have per app settings.

Close all others audio apps before entering an audio app using this driver, and unselect Microsoft SW synth in midi outputs setting (this driver is exclusive). If you have the Tascam US224 you do not want to use the asio4all driver, Tascam's drivers will work great. Make sure that in Guitar Rig (if you're using it standalone) or your host sequencer (if you're using it as a plugin) you select your US224 ASIO driver for sound output. Set the latency to 128 samples or about 5-10 ms. Depending on how it is displayed (I'm a Mac guy, so I don't know what the setup interface will look like on a PC).

That should solve your problem. I had the Tascam US428 for a couple of years and found the drivers to work great at low latencies. Thanks to both CLEVERMIND and BRIGGITY for your replies to my issues around latency. I will try these suggestions and let you know if i have success.

BTW CLEVERMIND - to answer your question - it is a Tascam US224 audio interface and the latency i experience in terms of millisecs, is probably 75-100ms. However, i have since found in the control panel for the audio interface a tab denoted as 'system' which let me adjust the buffer from 1024 (where it had defaulted) to 256 - which is the lowest setting it offers (BRIAN - I would love to get it to 128 but not sure how - i will check your suggestions and see if that is an option). This significantly impacted the latency to where it is nearly imperceptible. I will check the other parameters you suggest and see if i can tune it a bit more. I really appreciate both of you willing to help! Jack in Indiana.

I do not have that motherboard. But my boot drive is a SATA drive.

For first Windows (repairs or updates does not require that), you have to choose SCSI or SATA - depending on your BIOS - as the boot drive. And for that drive to me recognized as the first (C drive disconnect any IDE drive before launching the installation. Very important: At the beginning of the installation process, when you are asked to press F6 to install additional drivers, do so. The drivers and accompanying files must be available on a diskette. You will find them on your mainboard's installation CD.
